Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 June 2026

Short version: RIIZEN stores everything on your phone. We don't have an account system, we don't have servers storing your trips, and we don't track you. If you choose to import photos from your library, they stay on your device too. You can delete or export all your data at any time directly from the app.

This Privacy Policy explains how RIIZEN ("we", "us") handles your personal data when you sign up for our waitlist. We take your privacy seriously and keep things simple.

  1. Who is responsible

RIIZEN is responsible for the processing of your personal data. You can reach us at riizen.app@gmail.com for any privacy-related questions.

  2. What data we collect

RIIZEN is designed to work without an account. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our servers. All content you create in the app - destinations, photos, dates, travel buddies, notes, budgets, trip types, and your visited countries - is stored locally on your device and never leaves it through RIIZEN.

  3. Access to your phone

To work properly, RIIZEN may ask for permission to access certain features on your device:

    • Photo library: only when you choose to add a cover photo to a destination. RIIZEN reads the photo you select and stores a copy locally inside the app. We do not scan, upload, or analyse your photo library.

    • Notifications (optional): only if you opt in, for example to be reminded of upcoming trips.

You can change or revoke any of these permissions at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

  4. Data we do not collect

To be explicit: RIIZEN does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, advertising identifier, or any analytics or usage data. We do not use third-party trackers, advertising SDKs, or crash reporters that identify you. We do not build a profile of you.

  5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties, because we don't have it to share. If you choose to share a destination or your globe image from within the app, that action uses your device's native share sheet and you decide where it goes. What happens after you share is governed by the receiving app's own privacy policy.

  6. Apple App Store

When you download RIIZEN from the App Store, Apple may collect certain data about your download, device, and usage of the App Store itself. That data is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us. We do not receive your name, email, or Apple Account information.

  7. Deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device, you control how long it is kept. You have two ways to delete it:

    • Delete individual destinations: remove single entries from within the app at any time.

    • Delete everything: go to Profile → Settings → "Delete all data" to permanently remove all destinations, photos, and memories stored in the app. This action cannot be undone.

You can also uninstall RIIZEN entirely, which removes all data stored by the app from your device. There is nothing left on our side to delete, because we never had a copy.

  8. Exporting your data

You can export all your RIIZEN data at any time via Profile → Settings → "Export all data". This gives you a copy of your destinations and trip details in a portable file format. The export happens entirely on your device - the file is generated locally and shared through your device's native share sheet. We do not see, store, or process the exported file.

  9. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, port, and delete your personal data at any time. Since RIIZEN stores your data only on your device, you can exercise all of these rights directly inside the app.

If you have any questions, email us at riizen.app@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

  10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top and reflect the changes inside the app. If a future version of RIIZEN introduces new data practices, we will update this policy and clearly explain what changes.
